Wind River Casino CEO Jim Conrad remarked last week that the reservation casinos have helped break down longstanding prejudices between Indians and non-Indians in the Wind River Valley, according to a report by County 10.
“We are all the same in the face of God and we all strive for the same things—our families and our friends—and we all have different backgrounds, but we are all the same,” he said. “For the valley, one of the greatest things that I’ve seen is the breaking down of prejudices. This facility has given people a chance to get together and know each other. We’ve become more united as a community.”
This seems like an idea worthy of more reporting.
